"The TSI 2023 package was adopted by the Railway Interoperability and Safety Committee on March 30, 2023. 

t is expected to bring a number of benefits to European railroads, through cost reductions and greater visibility for companies in the sector, in particular rail manufacturers, infrastructure managers and railway undertakings operating in the European Union. The TSI 2023 package should make it easier to implement TSIs on existing networks, facilitate combined transport and harmonize communication between the railway undertaking and the infrastructure manager. This will reduce costs for the rail industry across Europe, making rail more efficient, safer and more competitive with other modes of transport, and thus making a greater contribution to decarbonizing the economy.

Some of the main TSI changes applicable to fixed installations and operations will be presented in this webinar, including:

- Implementation of the INF and ENE TSIs in existing infrastructure;

- Categorization of lines;

- Evolution of the ENE TSI to facilitate traction battery charging;

- Coding of lines and wagons for combined transport and the resulting operating rules;

- Communication between the railway undertaking and the infrastructure manager;"
